Dr. Audrey Kempson

 

Audrey is Programme Tutor for the Mental Health Recovery and Social Inclusion Theory and Practice module for the MSc In Mental Health Social Inclusion and Recovery. She is a qualified mental health nurse. She has worked in psychiatric hospitals as well as in community mental health teams and day hospitals with an emphasis on the recovery aspect of care rather than acute treatment. Although starting her career in mental health nursing Audrey has been in higher education for more than twenty years working first in vocational learning and more recently in mental health undergraduate nursing education.


 

 

 

 

Professor Brian Littlechild

 

Professor Brian Littlechild is the module lead for both the Legislation and Policy and the Project modules on the MSc Mental Health Recovery and Social Inclusion, and was responsible for gaining University accreditation to run the programme. He is also currently research lead for the Department of Social Work and Nursing (Learning Disabilities, Children and Mental Health Nursing), and CPD lead for Social Work.


 

 

 

 

 

Professor Shula Ramon

 

Shula Ramon proposed the creation of an online European MSc on mental health recovery and social inclusion as a result of her collaborative work with a number of European partners. She then wrote the bid and engaged the partners in the preparation for the project.


Currently she leads the recovery research module, and co-leads the project module of the MSc. In addition, she co-ordinates the UK advisory group of RAISE.


 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Jane Shears

 

Jane is module lead for the Leadership for Innovative Practice module for the MSc In Mental Health Social Inclusion and Recovery. She is a qualified and practicing social worker, also holding positions in statutory and third sector organisations. Although starting her career in childcare, most of her post qualifying experience has been in mental health services.
